My editor, Derek Mitchell, has completed his editing of Race of the Gemini (Book 2 of the Extra Innings trilogy). I am so excited for this book as it continues to dive into the lives of twins Jimmy and Billy McGee as the advance further through their teen years in Mississippi. I will take Derek’s notes and make the necessary revisions before submitting out to friends & family for reading. I am still on the search for a publisher. No luck so far but remaining very hopeful.

The beginning few pages of Chapter 9 have been rewritten (finally) to greatly embellish the kidnapping of the character “Slave”. The idea was to create more conflict between the boys versus the mob with a goal of holding the reader captive more. This should also help to further build the anticipated tension for the baseball game soon to come. Hope my readers enjoy the changes! I, myself, am very excited!
Book 2 of the Extra Innings Trilogy is halfway through being edited. Hoping to make it available to friends and family by December.
My friend Matthew Mackey invited me to an exhibit of writers and musicians at Akron, Ohio’s Uncorked Wine Bar last night. It was so much fun! I got the privilege of reading poems from Book 3 (A Hero Among Thieves) of my Extra Innings Trilogy. The poems belong to Billy McGee, the story’s character who un Book 3 is in the United States Air Force and stationed in South Korea during the winter of 1952-53. There were so many talented poets & songwriters there last night. I really enjoyed hearing their work. Thanks for inviting me Matt!
And that’s the last chapter in Book 1 (The Diamond Thieves) of the Extra Innings Trilogy by B W Gibson.
